God of Sha Ka Ree[]

Does anyone else notice the similarity between the 'god' at Sha Ka Ree and the aliens in the centre of the galaxy in TNG:The Nth Degree called the Cytherian? Perhaps he was an exile or something? i haven't heard anyone making comparisions about this and i'm sure i'm not the only one who noticed this or am i missing something? Hmm, you might have something, floating, glowing, powerful, giant, heads... they also both come from in about the Galactic core. Jaf 14:26, 18 Sep 2005 (UTC)
I think the thing is that most people have just assumed they're general non-corporeal beings. The Original series had a whole bunch of "floating, glowing, powerful, giant heads", and no one's really considered any of them related (granted, many of them had names) - AJHalliwell 14:35, 18 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Yes, but to be fair, most of them were green, so it's completly different--205.188.116.195 16:19, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

Cytherian/STV link[]

Joe Menosky, who wrote this episode, speculated that the creature found at the center of the galaxy in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier was a renegade Cytherian.

As with another page whose title escapes me at the moment, the above info has been on the page for a while but has yet to be given a source. I've moved it here until a source can be provided. --From Andoria with Love 06:40, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

Cytherian vs. Q[]

If the Cytherian is capable of making Reg with 1450 IQ, themselves must have IQ equivalent to Q (2000). 75.15.154.245 16:25, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Adjective of Venus[]

According to the Wikipedia page "List of adjectivals and demonyms of astronomical bodies" Cytherian is an adjective derived from planet Venus, albeit one rarely used. It might be worth mentioning, I guess. – Admiral Markonian 21:02, September 23, 2010 (UTC)

It's only worth mentioning if there is a Star Trek connection, such as the writers being aware of that fact. Otherwise, it is mere coincidence.--31dot 21:21, September 23, 2010 (UTC)

Spelling of Cytherian[]

Seems like the spelling should be Psytherian, as the 'psy' prefix implies 'psyche' or mind. 76.91.20.169 08:36, January 28, 2012 (UTC)

Except that the script disagrees with you.--31dot 12:06, January 28, 2012 (UTC)

Clearer limits[]

Could someone please explain what is meant by "clearer limits" in regards to the article? PatrickJ.Shannon (talk) 04:36, January 11, 2020 (UTC)

as in protocols that are more precise. --Alan (talk) 04:48, January 11, 2020 (UTC)
