After watching "Elaan of Troyius" carefully, no clear definition of the Dohlman's job description is offered. There is a link to royalty, and Elaan's escort jumps at her call, but it doesn't necessarily mean she's the actual leader of the Elasians. If could be honorary, religious, vestigal, or something like the Queen's role in modern Great Britain. Maybe it's a word for the Postmaster General.
I'm a little rusty at changes like this, but the phrase "Dohlman of Elas" is used as the formal title many times in the episode. I believe that should be the title of the article. --Aurelius Kirk 21:03, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
