Hebrew text visible reads "You shall not kill. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
This is something I've wanted to work on for a while. Was originally deleted because the language was never spoken, and people alleged that its script never appeared. However, Hebrew text can be clearly seen in the Rembrandt painting from TOS: "The Cage" (remastered). It's not much, but it has about the same amount of canon backing we have for Russian language or Swedish language. I also have a lot of background info that can be put into the article, now that it has been "found" in canon. --- Jaz 18:06, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

- With the content that it had... really not worth undeleting. It honestly read "Hebrew is the language used by the Jewish people." That's it. Regardless, created a new page, and undeleted the history, just 'cuz. -- sulfur 13:39, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
- Is it really that legible? Because the other two examples, Russian language and Swedish language have much more canon, in fact, Russian shouldnt even be mentioned here (look at all the references!) and the Swedish was actually heard, I highly doubt someone can honestly say they read the caption of that image from the image themselves... --Alan 17:02, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

I know this is already moot, but there is also Hebrew text in the SETI greeting from 'Future's End'. Between 'The Cage', 'Future's Tense', the Hebrew names in 'Patterns of Force', the use of Hebrew in 'Who Mourns for Adonai', and the origins of the Vulcan salute, there is a pretty clear mandate for this article. --- Jaz 01:11, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
