frigate? Edit

how does this qualify as a frigate? it seems to be larger than a Constitution-class, which is a cruiser. likewise, the Saber-class is much smaller, and it is classified as a light cruiser. -Mithril 19:39, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

Again, comes from on-screen dialogue of the ships of the class. In "Conspiracy", the Renegade and the Thomas Paine were called frigates. I am not sure that the sabre is smaller, after all, there are no size specs stated in this article. As for the Constitution class, it was labeled a heavy cruiser about 100 years before the New Orleans class was called a frigate. As a modern day example, the French battleship La Gloire had a displacement of 5,630 tons, where as the American Oliver Hazard Perry class frigate of 100 years later was almost the same size. --OuroborosCobra talk 19:48, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
