Government[]

I don't think it's true that "In the 22nd century, the Syndicate had either illegitimately assumed the powers of a government or was the government of the Orion people". Just because the Orion Syndicate controlled that area of space doesn't mean that the organization represents the entire Orion race. --Tavek 02:29, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

Isn't it inaccurate to include the photo from 'The Cage' as indicative of the Orion Slave Trade? The scene depicted is actually staged by the Talosians, although it features an Orion slave. It isn't part of a slave market.– Vivec 06:37, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
Actually it is, more than not. The illusion was that they were all on the Orion colony, as the caption attempted to reflect. This is justified by the doctor's earlier statement to Pike: "You, an Orion trader, dealing in green animal women slaves ?" and that is what the Talosians recreated... --Alan del Beccio 06:51, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

I removed:

In "Bound", it was insinuated that the female members of the Orion species ran the Syndicate through a mind controlling pheromone. It can be assumed that this aided their expansion as it was demonstrated to work on non-Orion species. This would seem to indicate a matriarchal system; however, it may be decentralized.

as it is speculatory, speculative, speculation. -Angry Future Romulan 21:21, May 24, 2010 (UTC)
