Reinstate pear Edit

A green pear was visible in (TAS: "The Practical Joker") Reinstate the page? --LauraCC (talk) 18:08, June 16, 2015 (UTC)

Yeah, if you have a valid reference for it, go right ahead. --| TrekFan Open a channel 19:45, June 16, 2015 (UTC)
How clear was it that it was a pear, and not some random alien fruit that happened to look a bit like a pear? -- Capricorn (talk) 20:07, June 16, 2015 (UTC)

It was never said to be anything else. You can see it here: [1], as well as other fruits and Saurian brandy I've added this reference to. I've already edited the pear page to reflect this. --LauraCC (talk) 20:14, June 16, 2015 (UTC)

The things on that platter all seem to be representing specific Earth fruits, it's hard to imagine the animators trying to draw alien fruits and ending up like a platter like that. So, I'd say that's about as clear as can be without the pear being identified.
Additional note: this is a bit irregular, but should the pear article be created, maybe it would make more sense to move this page to the talk page there? -- Capricorn (talk) 20:27, June 16, 2015 (UTC)
For the record, I agree that the platter seems to consist of all Earth fruits so it's not a great stretch to believe that the green one is a pear. In response to Capricorn, yeah it probably would be a good idea to move this talk page to the "pear" article. --| TrekFan Open a channel 16:33, June 17, 2015 (UTC)

Agreed. I started this before changing the pear redirect page to an article.-- 14:31, June 18, 2015 (UTC) Incidentally, the way it's written, should pear juice be merged with pear? The quote that the note on pear juice refers is "spinach juice with a touch of pear" --LauraCC (talk) 14:50, June 18, 2015 (UTC)

Yeah, that's pretty vague, I support a merge. -- Capricorn (talk) 19:40, June 19, 2015 (UTC)

Yes, ;cause it could've been grated pear, or pear extract. --LauraCC (talk) 18:20, June 20, 2015 (UTC)
