Removed

Removed from article:

It is unfortunate that Star Trek frequently uses the infamous "inoculations against radiation", as this is practically impossible.

I'm thinking this passage conflicts with policy, and if it doesn't, it should. -- Redge | Talk 21:33, 27 Aug 2004 (CEST)

As long as it's marked as speculation by being italicized, I don't see much of a problem. At any rate, it could be theoretically possible to "inoculate" against radiation poisoning with some sort of medication that would increase a cell's resistance to radiation, or help it repair faster by preventing replication errors. -- SmokeDetector47 22:07, 27 Aug 2004 (CEST)

In that case, it's also inaccurate. -- Redge | Talk 13:21, 28 Aug 2004 (CEST)

Star Trek Nemesis

Added Nemesis to the reference part of the article, the Scimitar's weapon is basically just a ton of radiation poisoning, plus theta radiation poisoning was mentioned onscreen. Seeing as something as small as the scene from First Contact can be used then I see no reason not to add this in. --The Admiralty 13:55, 5 April 2007 (GMT)

A request

I read in a book a few years ago, this very incomplete sentence. Any help to recreate it or point to the source would be appreciated. "....and <number> died before anyone even knew what <agent/chemical> poisoning was....> I believe it was referring to a time during the (original)Khan crisis, about the time of the Eugenics war. I think it was in a Kirk novel, or it was in one of the extra books, like the "Best of Trek" or some collected stories. The passages before and after this sentence refer to the causualties in war due to human error or genuine ignorance, i think they contain a reference to a general custer, or other historical figures too.

Please forgive me if this is the wrong place to add this. i could not think of any other. thanks in advance. doomgiver 2300 IST 27 JAN 2012 The preceding unsigned comment was added by 122.177.178.114.

If it was in a novel, you may want to ask at Memory Beta, as they cover novels a bit better. In the future, questions like yours not involving changing an article can be asked at the Reference Desk. --31dot 21:15, January 27, 2012 (UTC)
