Protected/Removal of personal info[]

Not sure why, but this page has been a target are seemingly silly vandalism (ie removal of middle initial, dob, and some external links) as of late. Since there has been no explanation for this, it seems the proper course of action is to protect the page from anon users and wait for an answer or simply wait the matter. --Alan 05:31, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

It has been brought to my attention that it would be appreciated if certain information that was previously posted on this page, namely year of birth (month and day are fine) and middle initial, not be posted in this article. Unlike this case, the removed information was not acquired from a Paramount source, and should be deemed private, even if variations of the removed information can be found on other websites, regardless of accuracy. Out of respect of individual privacy, I have removed all traces of this information. It would be much appreciated if subsequent contributors please respect this request as well. Please and thank you. --Alan del Beccio 04:53, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Well, as long as the information we had here is unreliable, that's perfectly fine. If we come across information that we do deem valid, though (whether the source is Paramount or other), I don't see any reason not to re-add this information. So, I'd rather not call the above an "edict". It's good that you linked to the other talk page discussion, because the situation is similar on a basic level: if information is valid, we like to have it here - it'd be hard for us to deny one guy the removal of information if we allow it another.
I'd also appreciate it if this "history revisionism" not be done without at least some level of community consensus in the future. Thanks. -- Cid Highwind 09:26, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
