Morphogenic virus[]

"Presumably, he was also "cured" of the virus in that episode when he was made a solid. He was subsequently re-infected by the Female Changeling in the sixth season episode "Behind the Lines", which explains why Odo and Weyoun believe that Odo is in fact free of the disease even though other Founders have begun to exhibit symptoms. "

It's somewhat nit-picky, but this statement doesn't completely make sense. If Odo had been re-infected by the Female Changeling, then the analysis conducted by Dr. Bashir in "When it Rains..." would have reflected this. The fact that Bashir was able to determine that Odo had been infected by Section 31 would indicate that Odo had been carrying the virus even when he was in solid form. Wtf is this?[]

When Weyoun is telling Odo the history of the Vorta, he first recounts that a female changeling was running from solids. Then Weyoun says a family of Vorta hid him and that the now male changeling promised the Vorta great power. Does this imply that the changeling reversed genders during it's ordeal? As far as I can tell from both the script and the transcript, the changeling in the story was consistently referred to as male.–Cleanse ( talk | contribs ) 23:40, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

"the great river"[]

In the passage of this article which explains how the title of this episode relates to it's contents there seems to be an omission. "The great river" sounds like a reference not only to the Ferngi's beliefs but to the great link of the changelings. Does anyone else agree? 68.57.197.130 00:50, August 9, 2012 (UTC)

Revname[]

How do I reverse names with a junior in them? Seem to have cocked up Edgar Jr. royally here--Archer4real (talk) 19:18, November 8, 2016 (UTC)

"What do you think?"
"It's white."
"I know it's white, I'm gonna paint it."
"It's the wrong shape. The wrong height. The wrong width. Other than that it's perfect. The captain will never suspect you switched desks on him."
"Julian, I need help, not sarcasm."
"I'm afraid Nog is the only one that can help you now."
"If he gets back to the station before the captain does."
"Maybe he's not coming back. Maybe he's decided to make a run for it."
(Kira enters) "That isn't the captain's desk!"
"He's gonna paint it."
"Get it out of here!"

- O'Brien and Bashir with a small interruption from Kira, about the captain's desk that Nog loaned out

Per MA:QUOTE. It may be amusing, but it's hardly short and sweet, and seems almost to be a whole scene. --Alan (talk) 18:27, June 28, 2019 (UTC)

Phaser fire at Warp speed[]

During the first chase with the Jem'Hadar phaser fire is exchanged at warp speed. According to (I think) the TNG Technical Manual that shouldn't be possible (only photon torpedoes can be fired at faster than light speed). Is that a goof worth mentioning in the article?

RealJoeCool (talk) 20:54, 30 November 2022 (UTC)

No, 1) that is not a canon source and 2) phaser fire at warp have been used a LOT. –Gvsualan (talk) 21:09, 30 November 2022 (UTC)

1) I did not know that the next generation technical Manual was not considered canon. 2) I agree. Thanks for the chat. RealJoeCool (talk) 22:49, 30 November 2022 (UTC)

Onscreen = canon. -Gvsualan (talk) 23:53, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
I'm not sure it's mentioned on the page for phaser, though the manual is referenced for something else in background information. You could note it, if it's not already, that way. --LauraCC (talk) 16:18, 6 December 2022 (UTC)
