Named from[]

It says the Elkins is named after Judy Elkins, but does anyone else think maybe it could have been named after the town of Elkins, West Virginia?--NavyAO2(AW) 05:48, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

The information in the article is probably quoted from the VFX team themselves. Presumably in universe it is named after someone else, maybe the same person that town is named for? Unfortunetly, with no canon evidence to support that, it can't be put in the article. --OuroborosCobra 05:59, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

Oh I know, I just threw that out there to table some discussion.--NavyAO2(AW) 20:59, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

I forget where I read it from, but Dan Curry (who had the USS Curry from this sequence named after him) stated that a number of those involved in the model making for that episode had named the vessels after themselves. --Alan 03:12, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Screenshot[]

I think we should have a screenshot of this ship or at least of the scene where it appeared. On the Elkins-type page there are only photos of the model, not of its actual appearance. Kennelly 10:58, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
