An Eminian year
"Sometime in the late 18th century, war erupted between the two planets." The Eminians said their war had been going on for 500 years. It seems pretty clear they were talking about their years. It would be the height of coincidence if their years were exactly the same length as Earth years.
- There's no evidance of that. Furthermore, universal transaltor has on numerous occasions translated into our units (think of how many alians have said something was x kilometres away.
