The Tereshkova was a Federation Type 8 shuttlecraft that was in service to Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to USS Voyager. It was shuttlecraft 01.

In 2371, Captain Kathryn Janeway and B'Elanna Torres used the Tereshkova to emit a dekyon beam, allowing Voyager to escape a type-4 quantum singularity. During the mission, the shuttle was hit by several spatial distortions, causing mild damage to the shuttle's shields, as well as a loss of its com system. (VOY: "Parallax")

Tereshkova model

The studio model

Named for Soviet cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman in space. Its name was not spoken on screen but appears on the studio model. [1]

As the physical model for the Type 8 was labelled as the Tereshkova, it is quite likely a number of the other unnamed Type 8 shuttles to appear on Voyager were also labelled with this name as well, as this shuttle was never explicitly depicted as having been destroyed.

Footage of this shuttle was later reused as another shuttle in "Ex Post Facto".
