The Tereshkova

The Tereshkova was a type 8 shuttlecraft assigned to USS Voyager as shuttlecraft #01. In 2371, Captain Kathryn Janeway and B'Elanna Torres used the Tereshkova to emit a dekyon beam, allowing Voyager to escape a quantum singularity. (VOY: "Parallax")

Named for Soviet cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman and first civilian in space.
