Four rebel ships attack the ISS Avenger
The Terran Empire rebellion was a war fought between members of a rebellion and the Terran Empire in the year 2155. The rebellion included at least some Vulcans, Tellarites, and Andorians.
The earliest battle in te war was when the ISS Emmette wiped out rebels on the Lunar colonies by bombing Luna/ Another bttle took place when Enterprise and two Terran ships bombed a alien city. EnterpriseOne major battle took place at Tau Ceti where rebels destroyed twelve Terran ships. Another major battle occurred when the ISS Avenger's assault fleet was wiped out by a rebel attack. Commander Jonathan Archer was a major player in the war. He played his part by staging a mutiny against Maximilian Forrest and taking over the ISS Enterprise. He used it to cross into Tholian territory to retrieve a starship called the USS Defiant from the prime universe.
A few days before the skirmish, Commander Archer of the ISS Enterprise discovered the existance of the Defiant after learning of a Tholian salvage operation. To retrieve the Defiant, he, along with Sergeant Mayweather and other members of MACO mutinied against Captain Maxwell Forrest and, with the help of a Suliban cloaking device, infiltrated Tholian space. First Officer T'Pol staged a double mutiny and freed Forrest from the brig.
After the Enterprise arrived in the Vintaak system, Archer led a boarding party to destroy the Defiant. When the Enterprise was destroyed, they stole the Defiant instead. After Archer and his crew hijacked the Defiant and the Tholians destroyed Enterprise, they set course to rendezvous with the Terran assault fleet. But they discovered the Avenger, commanded by Admiral Black, was the only ship remaining after rebels wiped out the assault fleet. The Defiant joined the battle and wiped out most of the rebels, saving the Avenger. However, because Archer suspected that Black was planning to present the Defiant to the Emperor himself and gain all the credit, Archer murdered him with a 23rd century phaser.
In a speech to the crew of both the Defiant and the Avenger, Archer laid out his plans to overthrow the Emperor and take his place. However, T'Pol, Phlox and Soval, not wanting Archer to make the Empire more brutal than it already was, attempted to stop Archer by having Phlox sabotage the Defiant while the Avenger attempted to destroy it. Unfortunately, their plan was foiled and Avenger was destroyed.
