Texas is a region of the continent North America on Earth, part of the nation-state of the United States of America. It was one of the largest states of America and bordered the neighboring country of Mexico.

The Battle of the Alamo took place at the Alamo mission in San Antonio, Texas in 1836. (DS9: "Badda-Bing, Badda-Bang", "What You Leave Behind")

In the year 2000, a company based in Texas funded the project to build the Millennium Gate, buying properties in Portage Creek, Indiana for twenty percent over market value around the proposed construction site. (VOY: "11:59")

Riley Frazier was a Texan in the 24th century, proud of the early Texan settlers whom she considered as her ancestors. The bluebonnet, the Texan state flower, was her favorite flower and typical Texan barbecue was her favorite food. (VOY: "Unity")

Background Information

Texas is the real-life birth place of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry as well as actors Brent Spiner and Michael Dorn.

A scene that was in the shooting script of the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Paradise Lost" mentioned a spaceport in the Texan city of Brackettville. Jake Sisko and Joseph Sisko were to take a transport from Brackettville to Mars.
