The Art of Ralph McQuarrie is an art and reference book that celebrates the work Ralph McQuarrie has done as conceptual artist and illustrator on various motion picture and television productions. Published by Dreams & Visions Press in 2007, it was released as a deluxe edition with an limited printing of 2,000 copies. Bound as a hardcover book in a dust jacket it was delivered in a matching hardboard slipcase. An "Autograph Edition", limited to 52 copies and numbered A-Z and AA-ZZ, came in a maple wood case and was leather-bound in a dust jacket.

Yet, ample attention is given to McQuarrie's contributions to other productions as well, in many cases reproducing artwork that has not been previously published.
Among these productions were two that were of particular relevance to the Star Trek franchise. Reproduced in the book was concept artwork, most of which not previously published, McQuarrie has done for:
A relatively rare book, originally priced at $250, it is currently fetching premium prices on second hand markets like Amazon.com.
