The Clift was a first-class hotel in San Francisco, California dating from the early 20th century and located a few blocks from Union Square.
In early September 2024, Christopher Brynner had his assistant reserve Jadzia Dax a room at the Clift for six nights after she arrived in the 21st century, along with Commander Benjamin Sisko and Dr. Julian Bashir due to a transporter accident. (DS9: "Past Tense, Part I")
