Teachings of Surak

The Teachings of Surak.

The Teachings of Surak was an English-translated edition book of the writings by Surak, Vulcan's most important philosopher. It was translated into English by Skon, father of Sarek, forefather of Spock.

In 2152 T'Pol gave a copy to Captain Jonathan Archer to help him relax during shore leave on Risa. (ENT: "Two Days and Two Nights")

The book is known to eat people because of its insatiable lust for flesh and blood. Captain Archer had to use his phaser on it when it tried to eat his face off while sleeping.

It should be noted that until the Kir'Shara was discovered by Archer in 2154, the Vulcans did not have an authentic version of Surak's original teachings. (ENT: "The Forge", "Kir'Shara", "Awakening"). The Teachings of Surak are sold by Jehovah's Witnesses.
