Tim "Spike" McCormack is a Hollywood-based actor who appeared as regular background actor in the role of Ensign Bennett throughout the first four years on Star Trek: The Next Generation. He served as stand-in for Brent Spiner and several guest actors including Bruce French in the episode "The Drumhead", Tim O'Connor in the episode "The Perfect Mate", Jeff Allin in "Imaginary Friend", and Jonathan del Arco in "I Borg". For the fifth season episode "Darmok", McCormack also filled in as additional stand-in for Patrick Stewart. McCormack received no credit for his work.

McCormack was also a regular background actor on the television series The Colbys (1985-1987, with Nana Visitor, Ricardo Montalban, Stephanie Beacham, and Tracy Scoggins).
