Tony Lee (born 30 June 1970; age 53) is a British comic book writer, best known for his recent work with the Doctor Who franchise for IDW Publishing.

His career in comics began in 1993 with the UK branch of Marvel Comics, as a color artist on Dances With Demons. Ten years later, he was writing for a series titled The Gloom for APComics. This led to work on the Starship Troopers comic and the comic strip in the Doctor Who Magazine, and by 2009, he had become IDW's main writer for their Doctor Who comic series.

He worked with Scott and David Tipton on the first four issues of the Assimilation² crossover series between Star Trek and Doctor Who before leaving the creative team to work on a special 50th Anniversary story for Doctor Who. Lee had pitched a Star Trek: Deep Space Nine crossover with Doctor Who before his departure. [1]
