The Torch of G'boj was a highly esteemed icon from Klingon history.
In 2372, Dahar Master Kor visited the Bajoran space station Deep Space 9 to request Lieutenant Commander Worf's assistance in locating the legendary Sword of Kahless. In promoting his quest to Worf, Kor stated the Sword was, "more sacred than the Torch of G'boj, more revered than Sabak's armor, and more coveted than the Emperor's Crown." (DS9: "The Sword of Kahless")
The fictional reference work Klingon for the Galactic Traveler states the phrase "as bright as the Torch of G'boj" is used by Klingons to describe something dazzling. The Klingon Hamlet also makes reference to the Torch of G'boj.
According to Star Trek: Star Charts, the "Temple of G'boj", a likely reference to the Torch, is located on the Klingon homeworld, Qo'noS.
