Zobrals encampment — Zobral's encampment on the surface of Zobral's homeworld

The Torothan homeworld is a planet in the Beta Quadrant and homeworld to Zobral's species. It has predominantly desert environment and is politically unstable.

The planet was ruled by a ruthless, oppressive clan known as the Torothans. Their actions on the planet caused a minority clan led by Zobral to revolt against Torothan rule. Zobral's clan, in turn, were deemed terrorist by the planet's Torothan-run government.

In 2152, Enterprise (NX-01) Captain Jonathan Archer and Charles Tucker were invited by Zobral for a meal and participation in a game of Geskana at his encampment on this planet. The Starfleet officers agreed, but when Torothan forces began to bombard the rebel complex, they fled into the deserts of the planet.

At this time, the Torothan homeworld had a planetary defense system. This system however had narrow gaps that can be penetrated without detection as by some vessels, such as Zobral's shuttle. (ENT: "Desert Crossing")
