Trinity Church was a church located on Lower Broadway, in Manhattan, in New York City. This church would sound the note of the three-quarters preceding midnight on New Year's Eves. The church was surrounded by skyscrapers. Chimney Corner, at the southeast intersection of Wall Street and Broadway, was located near the church.

In The Big Good-Bye, on one New Year's Eve, Detective Jim Tierney had his fellow officers posted at this location. They were to keep the peace, and arrest petty criminals and bullies. (TNG: "The Big Goodbye")

The pages seen in the episode were actually from the detective novel, The Listening Man, by author John A. Moroso. This novel was published in 1924. Information on Trinity Church was from pages 178-179.
