Template:Realworld Troy Melton (2 March 192115 November 1995; age 74) was a stuntman and stunt actor who performed stunts in several episodes of Star Trek: The Original Series. He received no credits for his appearances. He served as stunt double for Richard Webb in the episode "Court Martial".

During his long and career in film and television (spanning more than 50 years), Melton performed stunts in such films as Giant (1956, with Paul Fix), Dirty Harry (1971, with Andrew Robinson, Vince Deadrick, Sr., Bill Couch, Sr. and Chuck Hicks), Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973, with Paul Williams, France Nuyen, David Gerrold, music by Leonard Rosenman and cinematography by Richard H. Kline), Magnum Force (1973, with David Soul), Blazing Saddles (1974, with Bill Catching, Dick Crockett, Hal Needham and Bill Zuckert), The Towering Inferno (1974, with Elizabeth Rogers, George Wallace, Paul Comi and John Crawford), The Deer Hunter (1978, with John Savage and Kurtwood Smith), Pee Wee's Big Adventure (1985) and Alien Nation (1988, with Leslie Bevis and Brian Thompson). He also acted in these films, and many others, usually in bit roles, going uncredited. Melton also performed stunts and bit parts in many television series, such as Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, The Twilight Zone, Perry Mason, Batman, The Mod Squad and Bonanza

Melton was born in Jackson, Tennessee and passed away at the age of 74 in Los Angeles, California.
