The Typhon Expanse is an area of space approximently 20 light years across. Containing several habital worlds, The Typhon Expanse is controlled by the Typhon, a race that for several centuries have ignored the politics outside their own sphere of influence. In 2278, the U.S.S. Bozeman was lost near the Typhon Expanse. It was not until 2368, when the U.S.S. Enterprise entered the Expanse that they were found in a Temporal Causality loop.
In early 2369, StarFleet made official contact with the Typhon.
