The USS Cochrane arrives at Deep Space 9.
The USS Cochrane (NCC-59318) was an Oberth-class Federation starship in service in the 24th century. During the late 2360s it would serve as a transport.
In 2367, the Cochrane transported retired Admiral Norah Satie to the USS Enterprise-D to investigate a case of possible Romulan espionage. (TNG: "The Drumhead")
In 2368, the Cochrane transported Wesley Crusher to the Enterprise-D while the cadet was on leave from Starfleet Academy. (TNG: "The Game")
The USS Cochrane was also involved in the Dominion War. In 2374, the Cochrane reported numerous crew casualties, which were displayed on a LCARS display aboard Deep Space 9. (DS9: "In the Pale Moonlight")
- Named after the inventor of warp drive, Zefram Cochrane.
