The USS Equicon (NCC-1988) was a Federation starship that was in service with Starfleet in the mid-24th century. In 2364, Lora Trimble was captain of the ship.

That same year, prior to stardate 41547.3, Captain Trimble received an order from Admiral Kathryn Trimble of the Starfleet Operational Support Services about the transfer of personnel. The captain was to acknowledge this order on subspace com net security code 045, code 100 alpha.

At the end of that year, Data read this order and several others to investigate claims of a conspiracy among the highest members of Starfleet Command. (TNG: "Conspiracy")

The ship was never mentioned in dialog; this name came from a mission order. Location of the transfer was in text that was lost. The stardate on which this mission order was sent was illegible.
This ship was presumably named after the series of Equicon conventions, originally organized by Bjo Trimble. One such convention took place in the year 1988, hence the ship's registry.
