USS Honshu
The USS Honshu (NCC-60205) was a Nebula-class Federation starship in service during the 24th century.
In 2374, the Honshu was responsible for transporting former Cardassian leader Dukat to Starbase 621 to begin his war crimes trial in front of a Federation special jury. On board, was Captain Benjamin Sisko, who was along to testify for the prosecution in the arraignment.
En route along the Cardassian border, on its three day journey, the Honshu was attacked by a wing of Cardassian destroyers. Starfleet would later confirm the destruction of the Honshu at 1030 hours, and as well, had picked up the distress calls from three escape pods and a shuttlecraft.
The USS Defiant and the USS Constellation were assigned to search for survivors. The Defiant found a total of 14 survivors before finally locating Sisko. (DS9: "Waltz")

Background
Named after the main island of Japan.
The interior of the type-6 shuttlecraft stolen by Dukat to escape the Honshu was later used as a backdrop for his later appearances in "Wrongs Darker Than Death or Night" and "Tears of the Prophets".
