The USS Maryland was a 24th century Federation starship operated by Starfleet.

The Maryland was one of the starships reported as missing in the Gamma Quadrant in the early 2370s; it was presumed by some to have been destroyed by the Dominion. (DS9: "In Purgatory's Shadow")

The Star Trek Encyclopedia (2nd ed., pp. 291, 473) stated that this vessel was a Renaissance-class starship, with a registry of NCC-45109. The Encyclopedia stated that the ship was named for various ships of the US Navy named the USS Maryland. ^{(citation needed • edit)}
