The USS Nightwing (NCC-8342) was a 24th century Federation starship operated by Starfleet. The ship had the capacity of traveling at warp factor 7. In 2364, this starship was commanded by Herman Zimmerman.

Sometime in that year, Admiral Gregory Quinn of Starfleet Operational Support Services sent an order to the ship. Later that year, this order was read by Lieutenant Commander Data during an investigation into an alleged conspiracy in the highest levels of Starfleet Command. (TNG: "Conspiracy", okudagram)

There was a reference to the McKenzie Project in the order; the relationship between the project and the ship can't be gleaned from the surviving text.
