The USS Proxima (NCC-61952) was a Nebula-class Federation starship in service during the late 24th century.
The USS Proxima was one of the ships the disappeared in the Gamma Quadrant sometime between 2370 and 2373; it was presumed destroyed by the Dominion. (DS9: "In Purgatory's Shadow")
- Named after Proxima Centauri, which is the nearest star from the Sol system. Proxima is Latin for "nearest".
