The USS Zapata (NCC-33184) was a 24th century Federation starship operated by Starfleet.
In 2366, the Zapata was scheduled to rendezvous with the USS Enterprise-D at Xanthras III. (TNG: "Ménage à Troi") The ship later fought in the Dominion War during the 2370s. (DS9: "In the Pale Moonlight", "What You Leave Behind")

The Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 2, p. 335) classified the Zapata as a Surak-class (β) starship. The ship's registry was derived from the okudagram that first appeared in DS9 Season 6, bearing the registry that first appeared in the Star Trek Encyclopedia. In the third edition of the Star Trek Encyclopedia, on p. 574, the Zapata was given the registry number NCC-33814.
The Zapata was most likely named for Emiliano Zapata, a Mexican revolutionary hero.
