The Thasian was a member of a race of non-corporeal, psionically-powerful beings believed to be native to the planet Thasus.
A Human named Charles Evans,the only survivor of a crash-landing on the planet Thasus, granted him considerable psionic powers so that he might survive.
After he misused his powers and caused considerable trouble. The Thasian appeared as a translucent, floating Human face. The Thasian undid all the harm done by Charlie, and transported Evans from the Enterprise to its own ship. (TOS: "Charlie X")
