In the mirror universe, Solkar was the captain of the Vulcan survey ship T'Plana-Hath. He was the father of Skon and grandfather of Spock.

In 2063, after Solkar and his crew landed on Earth, they attempted to render the traditional Vulcan greeting to the assembled humans; however, Zefram Cochrane pulled out a weapon and shot Solkar, killing him instantly. The rest of the humans stormed the vessel, killed its remaining crew, and stole all of its technology. (ENT: "In a Mirror, Darkly")

Vulcan captain, first contact

The Vulcan captain of the T'Plana-Hath

Footage of Solkar's landing on Earth was directly lifted from Star Trek: First Contact, up to the point where he says "Live long and prosper." After that, stunt doubles were used to portray Solkar being shot and killed by Cochrane.
