The Venatic class was a type of starship used by the Hirogen around 2370's. Althought these ships appeared to be quite large(some 1000 meters, compared to Voyager), they were manned by only 15 or 20 hunters. The design also had a major flaw in it's sensor system; the engines of the ship created a "blind spot" in the ships aft end, where smaller ships could hide and avoid sensor detection by the hunters, as proven by the USS Voyager, which exploited this weaknes to secretly follow two Venatic ships in 2377.
