The Verathans are a now-extinct civilization native to the Verath system in the Gamma Quadrant, which reached their height approximately 30,000 years ago. Their empire at a time included over two dozen star systems, connected by a highly developedd trade and communications network. Their history can be divided into at least 19 dynasties.
A Verathan statue depicting Drohlak, the prime ossemite of the 19th dynasty was amongst the artifacts Vash offered for auction in 2369. (DS9: "Q-Less")
