Hsieh began her career in show business as a producer's assistant on the 2000 horror film Urban Legend: Final Cut. This film starred Jennifer Morrison, who played James T. Kirk's mother in 2009's Star Trek.
Hsieh again served as a producer's assistant on the 2002 film The Scorpion King, which starred Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and co-starred Branscombe Richmond. She then became a production coordinator on the X-Men sequel X2, which starred Bruce Davison, Famke Janssen, and Star Trek: The Next Generation regular Patrick Stewart.
As an assistant production coordinator, Hsieh worked on the 2005 film Lords of Dogtown, the short-lived legal drama series Blind Justice, and the hit concert film Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour. She was also a production coordinator on the pilot of the CBS drama series Cane and a travel coordinator on the Pirates of the Caribbean sequels Dead Man's Chest (2006) and At World's End (2007), both featuring Lee Arenberg.
More recently, Hsieh coordinated the production of the upcoming Paramount Pictures release Tropic Thunder while the film was undergoing re-shoots. She is currently working with X2 director Bryan Singer as a production coordinator on the film Valkyrie.
