Victor Rivers (born 1 October 1955; age 68) is the actor who played Altovar in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine third season episode "Distant Voices". He was born in Cuba, and played American football for the Miami Dolphins in the late 1970s.

Rivers is now a leading activist against domestic violence against women and children. He is the national spokesman for the National Network to End Domestic Violence.

He has acted in motion pictures such as Fear City (1984, with Emilia Crow), 8 Million Ways to Die (1986, with James Avery), Last Resort (1986, with Ian Abercrombie), Cat Chaser (1989, with Peter Weller), One Good Cop (1991, with Tony Plana and Kevin Conway), Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (1992), One Good Cop (1991, with Tony Plana and Kevin Conway), Nixon (1995, with Paul Sorvino, Michelle Krusiec, Annette Helde, Robert Beltran, Saul Rubinek and Tony Plana), The Mask of Zorro (1998) and Hulk (2003).

In 1999, Rivers along with Larry Cedar, Brian George and Paul Winfield did voice work for an episode of Batman Beyond. He did voice work for another episode that year with James B. Sikking and Brian Tochi. He did voice work for a couple more episodes in 2000, with the second one involving voice work from Corey Burton and Keith Szarabajka. He later appeared prominently in the three-part episode "Starcrossed" of the related series Justice League, with Cedar, Jason Marsden, and Javier Grajeda.

He has guest-starred in television shows such as Cybill, 24, Miami Vice and The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr..
