A vineyard is a place where grapes are grown for making wine, raisins, or table grapes. A vineyard that produces grapes for wine production typically employs vigneron, or winemakers, who oversee the crops and wine fermentation process.
The Picard family vineyards, located in La Barre, France, are well-known for wine production, notably for their Chateau Picard vintage. There is also some relation to Chateau La Barre. The vineyard's vigneron during the mid-24th century was Robert Picard. (TNG: "Family")
In an unknown, alternate future timeframe, a retired Jean-Luc Picard had taken over the family vineyard. (TNG: "All Good Things...")
A cut scene from "Ferengi Love Songs" would have established that tullaberries were also grown in vineyards.
