Voval

Voval

Voval was an Iyaaran ambassador.

In 2370, while Ambassadors Loquel and Byleth were assigned to the USS Enterprise-D, with the intent of experiencing the concepts of pleasure and antagonism, respectively, Voval, claiming to be merely a shuttle pilot was to transport Captain Jean-Luc Picard to Iyar. He was able to assume various identities. He intentionally crashed his shuttle and assumed the identity of a Human woman named Anna in order to learn the Human concept of love.

Unlike Ambassadors Loquel and Byleth, who regarded their experiments as successful, Voval considered his to be a failure after Picard discovered the ruse. (TNG: "Liaisons")

Voval was played recurring Star Trek guest star Eric Pierpoint.
