The term warbird is a name commonly used to describe starships of Romulan origin. (TNG: "The Neutral Zone")

It was also used to describe certain 22nd century Klingon ships. Vulcan ambassador Soval noted that a fleet of warbirds could have reached Earth from Qo'noS within a week, had the Vulcans not defused the political crisis caused by the attack on Klaang. (ENT: "Broken Bow")
