Wendy Ruiz is the visual effects coordinator for the remastered Original Series which began in 2006. In the episode "The Menagerie, Part I" she was one of the Starfleet extras, who were digitally brought into the new matte painting. In 2012 she started working in the capacity of Head of Mastering & Restoration for the remastered The Next Generation project.

Ruiz is a project manager at CBS Digital since September 1997.
