Willie Mays, born May 6, 1931, was an American hall of fame baseball player. He began his career in 1951 for the New York Giants.
In 2373, Jake Sisko and Nog got into trouble while trying to cheer up Benjamin Sisko by attempting to acquire a mint-condition 1951 Willie Mays rookie baseball card in an auction. Their quest for the card brought them into contact with Winn Adami, Elias Giger, and Weyoun. (DS9: "In the Cards")
