Xaratine ale is an alcoholic beverage made by the Xarantine people.
In 2151, several cases of Xarantine ale were stolen by the Klingon ship, IKS Somraw. However, the Xarantine ale carried a toxin, causing the Klingons to become ill. While ill, the ship was attacked by Xarantines. Unable to repair the ship while sick, the Klingons began to sink into a gas giant. (ENT: "Sleeping Dogs")
