Yuta was a servant to Sovereign Marouk, leader of the Acamarians. Yuta was a member of the clan Tralesta; she was the last surviving member of that clan, and was of five Tralestas to survive the clan's decimation by the Lornak clan nearly 100 years prior. The surviving clan members choose Yuta to be the instrument of their revenge. She was genetically altered to live an unnaturally long life, a life she dedicated to hunting down and eliminating all members of the Lornak clan that were responsible for the death of the Tralestas. In addition to her altered lifespan, Yuta's very touch had been altered to transmit a microvirus that would be immediately lethal to anyone who carried the DNA of the Lornak clan.

At an unknown time, she became a trusted servant of Marouk in order to gain access to the Lornaks that she could not reach. She served as Marouk's cook and food taster.

In 2366, when Marouk petitioned the Captain Picard for aid in dealing with the Gatherers, Marouk, along with Yuta and a delegation of servants, boarded the U.S.S. Enterprise. The group traveled to meet with with Chorgan, leader of the Gatherers and the last surviving member of the Lornak clan with connections to the massacre. Yuta planned to kill him. She was stopped when Commander Riker, with whom she had begun a romantic relationship, was forced to kill her to prevent the murder. (TNG: "The Vengeance Factor")

Yuta was played by Lisa Wilcox.
